I'm not a guy but I do have the same preference in women as most of them. I don't really care how pale a girl's skin is... the natural looks definitely a whole lot better than caked on makeup though. There's nothing worse than being attracted to someone and then find out their hideous once they wash their face! I prefere dark hair to light and red lips can never be a bad thing.

To be honest, as much as I like to get a tan myself, I'm not actually very attracted to darker skinned women. I think fair skinned girls are much sexier than tanned ones. I especially don't like orange women.

If you do decide to lighten the color of your hair. Go to a professional hair salon. Be prepared to spend some money for a master stylist. Remember you will have to wait at least 5 years to get your natural color back. Coloring your hair is a big time and money investment. Dyeing your hair will dry it out and cause split ends. The dyes today are better than they used to be but they still mess up your hair. For a change buy some new clothes instead. I have used lemon juice and a hiar dryer to lighten my hair in the summer. It doesn't do any harm. Not a huge difference, but it was enough.

Yikes! This is a tough one. Wait- was your hair dyed blonde to begin with or were you a natural blonde? Reds do fade fast and if you were a dyed blonde to begin with it will fade even faster. You could wash it a few times with Dawn dish liquid or pert plus and it will wash some out, but condition your hair really well afterwards.

To get it all out You're gonna need a pro. She'll have to strip out the red and then probably recolor it a shade you want. This will be ultra damaging and I don't recommend it if you were dyed blonde to begin with and expensive.

You could color it to tone down the red to a auburn color. You'll still want to see a pro for that.

You may want to give it a little while to 1 let the red calm down(many times colors are viberant at first and calm down with a washing or two) or 2 to give yourself time to get use to it. That was a drastic change for anyone.

It will be a bit brighter and redder shade of Mahogany. It isn't like mixing kool-aid. The new color coats the shaft, it doesn't mix with the color already there....

The best way to keep your reds vibrant is to use a sulfate-free shampoo, and a color depositing conditioner such as Aveda Bixa or Annato conditioner. (unfortunatly Aveda doesn't make a sulfate-free shampoo however, the best sulfate-free shampoo I've found is Pureology) Also if you go out into the sun (even if it's winter) you should wear a hat. The best bet is to get a shampoo and conditioner specifically made for color treated hair. I use one made by Suave that I have had very good luck with. And, its much less expensive than the designer brands. (I used to use Herbal Essences b/c I thought it would be mild, and a hairdresser told me that that brand could actually strip the color from your hair.)

Also, you want to avoid any bleaching chemicals or acidic products if you can. If you do a lot of swimming, be sure to rinse your hair well afterwards or wear a swim cap. Chlorine can not only make the color fade, it can actually alter the color to something much less attractive.

Other than that, just keep up with the root touch ups. Its much easier than doing the whole thing all over again.
