How to stop hair from turning red?

My hair turns reddish after ANY hair dye that i use. usually within two weeks. Is there something i can use to prevent this?

Yes there is...go to a beauty supply such as Sally's Beauty Supply and ask for something to put into hair dye that prevents brassiness. I do this and it comes in a little tube like thing for about one dollar. You just mix it into your hair color before you color your hair.

You have to experiment to find a dye that has less red dye in it. All colors are actually combinations of different basic dyes. If you have a particular product you prefer, call the company and ask them. They will probably tell you to go for the more "drab" colors, or those from a cooler color palate. Different hair "grabs" different pigments. Yours grabs red.

Go for colors that are described as "ash." They have more cooler tones, then warmer tones and that will help prevent that red tones that you're getting.
