Use like an old towel and wrap it around your neck while your doing everything. Then when you are all done and take the towel off you wont have a drop on your shirt!

wear clothes that you don't care about to dye your hair. even the non permanent color ruins clothing. you can keep your skin from getting stained by applying a layer of vaseline, but i don't think you can put vaseline on clothes.

You can put a towel around your neck and shoulders.. But you still have a chance of staining it.

I would put on a shirt that you don't wear anymore, so if it gets stained it wouldn't matter. That's what I usually do.

When I color my hair I wear an old sportsbra and the put an old towel around my neck and secure it with a clothespin. Seems to work fine for me.
