Did Jesus use henna or camel's urine to keep his hair light & red?

"Your a master in every form of deception and recklessness, unscrupulousness, and wickedness, you son of the devil, you enemy of everything that is upright and good, will you never stop perverting and making crooked the straight paths of the Lord and plotting against His saving purposes?" (Acts 13:10)

I didn't know Jesus' hair was light and red. I thought it was dark and curly.....

No but you have urine on your head

Did Jesus use henna or camel's urine to keep his hair light %26amp; red?

Why do you assume Jesus lightened or dyed his hair?

That is an asinine comment. Where did you get that? From the Quran or Hadiths? Sounds like something Muhammad would do. Jesus hair was not red but the color of every other Jew of his day - BLACK!

That is too funny, but you know you're gonna get alot of angry emails, right?

Non of these used by Jesus to the little things have been able to read about Jesus he is not after fashion rather after his father's work so he don't use henna or camel's urine to keep his hair light and red no.

The coloring of a person's hair is an act of vanity. There was nothing in Jesus which was vain. His concern was for the eternal lives of those around him, not the color of his hair. This is a question which shows no spiritual maturity at all. You should read the Scriptures and find out about the man you so shallowly accuse of this silly act.

Silly question--I believe that Jesus looked like everyone else He lived around at the time. Art has a funny way of trying to identify its subject with the familiar. What is race anyway except visual proof of who and where we came from?

Biologically speaking it is an adaptaion to our surroundings (although now many of us have moved away with modern transportaion and sadly, forced transplant-slavery and military conquest).

Biblically speaking, race--and language--are a consequece of the sin of pride. God intended race issues to be difficult for us. We were getting to think we were too self-important (Tower of Babel)!

camel's urine mixed with some lime most probably. maybe some olive oil to have that shiny look.

Your question is beneath answering, but thanks for the two points.

First: there is nothing in the Bible that gives a description of Jesus' natural physical attributes or physical appearance, aside from Isaiah 53:2 " . . . He has no form or comeliness; and when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him." This means He was probably quite plain and "ordinary" by human standards. There was nothing extraordinary about His appearance.

Second: we know that Christ was an Israelite Jew (see Matt 1:1-17, Luke 3:13-38), southern Mediterranean in heritage. Therefore, he most likely had naturally dark hair, dark eyes, and dark skin like everyone else native to that area. Because the Israelite men were instructed to keep their hair neatly kept (see Lev 19:27, 1 Cor 11:14) and trimmed, not long, he had short hair. The only men with long hair were the Nazirites, who were instructed to never cut their hair (see Nu 6: 1-21, Judges 13:5, 1 Sam 1:11, and Lk 1:15).

Third: We know that Jesus was sinless (see 2 Cor 5:21, 1 Peter 2:21-22); He did not sin, ever. Dying one's hair to be other than in it's natural state is an act born out of vanity, which is sin. He did not dye His hair. He obeyed the Law of Moses to perfection. Such acts of vanity were forbidden in the Moseic Law.

Lol. that's way too funny.

wow. you have upset alot of people. As for your question, henna has been used for thousands of years as a hair dye but it has been questioned whether the jews in this area at this time would have used it. Often, people would use the henna, not as a vanity but because it was considered a blessing. Many ancient cultures believed henna was the only plant to come from the garden of eden and so would use it for religious purposes. I believe if Jesus did use henna it was for these purposes as I doubt he was too concerned with his physical appearence.

It is known that the local romans did use it for hair dye and skin conditioning so it was available. Im guessing the local workers would have used it to protect their skin from the sun while working in the fields. It is a natural sunblock and moisturizer.

Many speculate that the local jewish people would use henna for antiseptic purposes and perhaps may have prepared bodies for burial by applying henna to the skin of the loved one that has passed away. this would be in accordance with the religious aspects as well as the cleansing aspects of the plant.

I know nothing about camel urine and eewww. I know it was used and all but it seems so icky.

Anyhow, I hope I have helped and I do truly apologise if I have upset anyone.
