HELP!!!! hair....STOP SIGN RED, OMG!!!?

I have colored my hair plenty of times but today my hair turned the color of a stop sign, how do I fix this at home only. Please help!

HELP!!!! hair....STOP SIGN RED, OMG!!!?

Okay so chill out. Hair care and coloring should only be done by a real hair dresser (Not your self or those highschool drop outs at Supercuts) First you wana make some dark black coffee and wash your hair with it a few times. Then your hair won't look as red and will go to a coppery red that you might actually like.. Anyways then if your still uncomfortable with it throw on a baseball cap and go to your local hairdressers.. But only go to a nice one.. you get what you pay for.

HELP!!!! hair....STOP SIGN RED, OMG!!!?

ask someone to run out and grab a couple shades lighter red dye..I have no idea what went wrong. If you have to run out put your hair up in a hat or something

HELP!!!! hair....STOP SIGN RED, OMG!!!?

What color are you going for?

HELP!!!! hair....STOP SIGN RED, OMG!!!?

there are only 2 extremes.

you can use peroxide to bleach the hell out of it %26amp; get the color out... or get a color close to black to cover the red.

best of luck!

HELP!!!! hair....STOP SIGN RED, OMG!!!?

What did you do? Did you bleach it before and then apply a redish color? You need to give it a good conditioning ... leave the conditioning creme on for a few hours before rinsing it out. Then apply a darker color and again, condition a lot.

HELP!!!! hair....STOP SIGN RED, OMG!!!?

Just chill, you should be able to get a really cheap color remover from a drugstore that should take it out. Or go to a salon. You can remove it for as little as ten dollars.

HELP!!!! hair....STOP SIGN RED, OMG!!!?

See if you can find any where like Sallys Beauty Supply and buy this stuff (dont know what its called) but it removes the color out of your hair.

Ask them if they have it and if they do then buy it and after you get the color out dye your hair color back to the color you want.

Does anyone think red highlights would go well with my black hair?

Hi, well I dyed my hair black, and now I want to put red highlights on! My question? Does anyone think it would look good/bad/so-so, or possibly another choice besides the 1 I'm thinking? But please, any color but blonde, I'm trying to achieve distinction from all the people at school who got black hair and highlights (most all of them highlighted blonde)

Link to my current look of my hair as is plain black:

I don't think your hair will look good with red highlights. I think if you do get red highlights you'll look weird and emo. Just my opinion though :)

Does anyone think red highlights would go well with my black hair?

hmmm i think it looks fine the way it is .

Does anyone think red highlights would go well with my black hair?

Uh, I did red highlights when I was a teenager and everyone that they were really hott! BUT I was a girl, I'm not so sure about highlights on guys. If any I'd do something natural like a lighter brown that way it looks like its real and not something you tried to do. I guess things have changed since I was in highschool, because guys never EVER did anything to their hair except comb it.

I'm 23 by the way so it wasn't sooo long ago!

Does anyone think red highlights would go well with my black hair?

i agree with the above. :]].

Does anyone think red highlights would go well with my black hair?

I would just leave it I dont knowhow you could highlight it and have it look good, I you grow your hair longer you could get highlights underneight your hair, that might look kinda cool :] But yeah emoish kinda, red highlights on a girls black hair would look really nice but for a guy uhmm nah.

Does anyone think red highlights would go well with my black hair?

it will be hard to get the black out enough to put another color on it. go to a salon, don't try it at home!

but a bright red would look good.

Does anyone think red highlights would go well with my black hair?

YOU SHOULD TRY BLUE A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE RED HIGHLIGHTS SO GET A DIFFERENT LOOK

Does anyone think red highlights would go well with my black hair?

NO you'll look like some type football fan...Oh no .no.no...

Does anyone think red highlights would go well with my black hair?

dont get red highlights, try chestnut or dark brown:)

Does anyone think red highlights would go well with my black hair?

nah, leave it blk

Does anyone think red highlights would go well with my black hair?

you might look emo but if you really want to then...go 4 it!

Does anyone think red highlights would go well with my black hair?

uhmmm ,

No i personally do not think that you should get red highlights.

Does anyone think red highlights would go well with my black hair?

I just dyed my hair blonde how do i get the red out?

Touch up =) Even though its mainly for the roots it will do just the same for certain parts...But if your hair was a dark red before that's probably why the red is still visable.

you need a haircut for the frying.

sorry to say, but thats the only true way to do it.

if you don't have any split ends and it's just dry buy a hot oil treatment at the drugstore.

you need to redye your hair blonde. but don't bleach it, for this will cause further damage.

Help!! my hair is pink/red/black i heard of "striping my hair" what is striping your hair?

if you know what i can do, please tell me...

wat is stiping your hair??

Help!! my hair is pink/red/black i heard of "striping my hair" what is striping your hair??

Stripping, this is when you remove all or most of the artificial colors from your hair. Rule of thumb is the longer you wait to remove fake color the longer and less effective this process is. Pravana, Goldwell, and schwarzkopf all have great lines of color strippers for professional use only! Bleaching causes damage and will remove not just fake colors but natural pigments too. You want to see a professional COLORIST, not just a stylist. Just because they apply color does not mean this person knows the rules with corrective color, and that is what you need my dear. Best of luck and if you have further questions you can contact me classy_in_new_york@yahoo.com.

Do you mean "stripping" your hair? That's where you take ALL the pigment out of your hair so it's like a very white blonde and then you can color it whatever color you want. I have dark hair and had to strip my hair to go blonde.

Help!! my hair is pink/red/black i heard of "striping my hair" what is striping your hair??

Pretty much bleaching your hair. I've done it before but it helps.

Stripping your hair is using a chemical to remove all the color from your hair - you'll have white/platinum hair after stripping. Typically done to correct a pretty severe coloring mishap. Due to the risk of further damage or scalp burns, you should have a professional do it for you. You may also have to wait a couple of days before re-coloring in order to give your hair time to recover.

stripping your hair is removing color from your hair. You should really seek professional help. You can mess up pretty bad if you do it yourself

Help!! my hair is pink/red/black i heard of "striping my hair" what is striping your hair??

I had my hair dyed black and once it's black it's too dark to dye it any other color so the only thing to do is bleach it( stripe it)....also when your hair is red and you dye it again you will always have a red tone to your hair. Once you stripe it you can do it anyway you want.

Help!! my hair is pink/red/black i heard of "striping my hair" what is striping your hair??

this is like highlights, but much more pronounced. i am not a big fan of it.

becareful of doing stripping... it can be very bad for your hair and dry it out...

what you should do (and i had to do thsi when i screwed up my hair)

is go to a professional and have them fix your hair so that everything blends and looks decent together

I want to add bleach to my hair dye to get a really blonde color. My hair is red. how do I do this?

dont! it will go orange

trust me iv done it

your gonna hav to get it stripped or wait for the colour to grow out

sorry!

xx

Should i use a warmer hair color to dye my hair golden brown if it's already red? will it be or

or should i go with a cooler shade? i'm just afraid of it turning out orange if i use a warm shade of color. it's been over 2 months since i dyed my hair auburn brown and it's faded out a lot, it's faded to a dark blonde, but it still has a lot of red tones in it. would using a warmer shade to dye it golden brown make it way redder? ahhh! i'm just scared it's gonna turn out orange. so would a cooler shade be my best bet?

If your desired result is lighter than you are now, YOU should not be attempting this. You have regrowth and artificial color on this. It may be possible to have soft highlights done and then add a tone between the foils to achieve this look. Book a consultation with a good colorist. Bring in a photo of your goal. Together you two can come up with the perfect plan for your hair. Best of luck.

I dyed my highlighted hair...to a red shade, it came out great but....the red dyes do not last, no m

So I now to get it back to a dark ash blonde base, I had to dye it several times, leaving my hair very dry and my scalp very itchy. What do you suggest to relieve both. I have left intensive therapy conditioners/hair masques on far longer than the recommended time ..but really to no avail. My hair is short already...so do not say cut it! Please help!

I dyed my highlighted hair...to a red shade, it came out great but....the red dyes do not last, no matter what

What i would suggest is getting the product Keraste...i believe its called. Its for colored hair that has...been through alot of coloring. Its absoultly amazing. Worked for me.

For the scalp, if you can't find the above, use neutrogena t gel. It really smells but it will make your scalp feel so much better.

I hair model, so i get my hair died once a month at least. I had the same problem until i did the neutrogena 2x a week for a week, then the keraste (sp?) which has a mask and a leave in conditioner. AMAZING.

hope it helps

its called kerastase lil expensive, but AWESOME

put some serum like for frizz in your hair when u style it . the next time u put the intensive conditioner in your hair wrap it in a shower cap and then put heat on it like your hair dryer for about 15 minutes

go to your local salon, tell them about your problem... I'm sure that they can give you just what you need...If not go to Sally Beauty Supply and get one of those one time use conditioners... they REALLY work...
