my hair is very dark brown with red in i want 2 lighten it 2 a caramel blonde type of colour but dont no if shud try it myself,pay the price at hairdressers or leave it.im scared incase it ruins my hair but i really want it lighten any advice wud b great tnx xx

I can't really tell your skin tone from your Avtar but if your natural colour is very dark brown then caramel hi-lites, rather than an all-over colour, would probably look better. Sometimes all-over colour changes can shock the wearer into hating it - hi-lites let you (also family and friends) get used to it - I think you will love it! But professionally, please!

I have very dark hair, and wanted to go lighter...

but was scared of doing it myself.

So I went to a hairdressers, where they showed me samples and pictures....and were very helpful.

I decided to opt for highlights in the end, and am pleased with the results.

Besides, if it goes wrong in the hairdressers, they can help to put it right!
