Is the red natural? If so.... you can just color it??? How dark is your red? This will determine what volume developer you need..... If the red is color....you are lookin at color correction and need to go to a salon. The red would need to be removed, and your hair toned and repigmented. red is very difficult to keep and very difficult to get rid of, i know ive been dying it red for years, if you are naturally red it should be no problem but if it is dyed red then you are going to have to let it grow out before going to a lighter colour, it'll go orange if you dye it blonde while having red dye in, the only colour im able to dye my hair when i get sick of the red is brown or black.

if you are gonna make a drastic change you should go to a salon if you want it to look good... the only other option takes a while and that is dying it lighter shades intil it is able to dyed a blond color but that method takes months or you can get bleaching (hair color removal) at your drug store (ie walgreen rite aid ect) but those tend to fry you hair it feels like straw and looks nasty!! good luck!
