I tryed to dye my hair blonde and it turned out red on the parts that had previoulsy been dyed brown

I bought this hair color remover from loreal, I used it and it seemed to work as the box described, so I used an all-over blonde color and then did highlight all over the place, but it only seemed to work on the top part that had only been dyed once or so, the parts in the middle and bottom still look red like the color it was after taking the brown out with the loreal stuff, even after I had done all over blonde and highlights.

So my real question is, is the blonde just not going to work because my hair has been dyed too much? and if it will work then what product can I use that will be strong enough, thats fairly enexpensive and can get at Sally's or walmart?

you're gonna have to bleach those sections that have been dyed before.

go to sallys, get Wella bleach, toner, and developer. Bleach ONLY the red sections. A few days later, use tones on your hair to get rid of the orange, brassy colors, and give you a cool ashy shade.

or, just go to a salon and see if they can fix it.

Make sure the previous die has bean washed out before dieing it anther co lour. Hopefully that should help. If not try going to a hairdressers and letting them do it for you.

The highlighting has bleach in it so it bleached it down back to the redish. If you buy boxed stuff all the colors and directions are for your natural color, and the results will skew on dyed hair, so go to a professional. Wait two weeks atleast and then go get it fixed.
