im looking for a good hair dye, my hair is a very dark brown and i plan to dye it soon i was just wondering what are some of the best brands to buy

other good brands could be nice n' easy

i say stay away from : garnier products my mom and i tried garnier bout twice and it hasnt worked so far. stay away from the hair dyes under 10$ they usually suck

in my opinoin, i think Manic Panic is the absolute best. Ive been using it since i was 13 and they have an amazing amount a variaties. its temporary, so idk if you was permanent or not. but i like that the best, plus its not tested on animals.

My all time favorite brand of dye is Goldwell. I use their red violet (magenta) highlights along with the renue mix (it brings back your highlights even after you've dyed over them!!). The only problem is Goldwell is a professional brand, you can only buy it at a professional supply store. Sallys doesn't even carry it.

For over the counter stuff I only trust Garnier. They have some really pretty red shades %26amp; it always made my hair feel nice afterwards.

Depends on what shade of red you want. If you have access to a beauty supply like Sally's Beauty Supply they have colors designed specifically for dark hair.They have color swatches so you can see what color you want to go to. I'd recommend using 30 volume creme developer though ,Its designed for high lift. Removing your natural color and depositing the new color for maximum coverage and vibrancy.

It's the best hair dye I've ever used. It's free of all chemicals, so it doesn't damage your hair at all (not to mention, there's not that terrible ammonia smell). It's a powder you mix with water, and it doesn't fade. It's $5 a box.

Loreal Hi Color (available at Sally's) has the ability to lift 5 levels (most colors lift 3) and they have really awesome reds! They are actually made for dark hair :)
