Burgendy hair color won't take over red/orangy color any help welcome?

I have done my hair myself for years with never a problem.Bleaching coloring cutting the works. My hair takes well to each process and stays healthy. Two days ago I bleached my hair from dark brown dye to a brassy orange I used burgendy over it and the results came to a little darker (still orangy) red.I have done this process before with perfect results useing the same products.Any idea why it didnt take?I am okay with this color for now but how can I make sure the burgendy will take next week when i try again? My hair still looks and feels healthy.Any tips are welcome :) thanks!

Wow yeah thats a problem. I think that when you bleached your hair you pulled the copper tones in your natural hair out making difficult for the burgundy to stay. WHat I can suggest is buying a permanent burgundy dye but with a cool tone becasue if you buy one with warm tones the orangey streaks are not going to go away. First you have to kill off the orange. So just find a dye with a cooler base and make sure to leave the dye on atleast 10 minutes extra than the 30 minute due time and it should dye out the color.

Good Luck
