i recently had my hair bleached to get blonde highlights, unfortunately it came out ginger! Im now off to the hairdressers (new one) in an hour to get it coloured again. This time im going darker, i was trying to get the beyonce hair look (caramel tones), what colour should i use that is both eyecatching and natural against my skin tone. I've seen casting where a red red, blue, purple (or another color possibly) cast is put on black hair that you can only see when the light hits it. Looks great on straight black hair especially. Ask your stylist.

You're better off asking your hairdresser for advise than asking on here, they'll be able to advise you on which colours to mix and use them professionally. Always best to get it done properly you wouldn't want to do it a home and end up with green hair!

Advise from the colourist should be free, so if the first one you try doesn't give you a proper consultation, walk away. They should also try a test sample on your hair before doing the whole job to check the colours and chemicals will give the desired effect. You could always take a picture in and ask if its suitable for your hair type and colour too. Good luck in your quest.

Be brave and have maybe purple or pink hi-lights, they will look awesome!! Don't follow the crowd, be a leader!!

Blue would look fantastic, be it either dark or royal. or how about coloured extensions, give it a go. hope it all works out.

Blonde looks absolutely horendous on natural black hair, especially on Asians of Indian (or similar) origin! It's one of the biggest mistakes to make. I'd recommend a dark brown/aurburn colour, especially because Autumn is just around the corner - it'll look slick.

I really love either red highlights or blue highlights on black hair - though I saw one girl who had pink highlights 'dipped' at the bottom - that looked awesome. If you're quite conservative however, I'd go for red, auburn or caramel, the sade depending on whether you have 'warm' or 'cool' tones in your skin.

I do this asian ladies hair, she has very dark hair so what I do is give her golden blonde highlights (pale blonde will make you look skunky and washed out) we also add a purple plum for low-lights. She looks very good w/ the 3 colors together. In order to get the purple to show on her hair we use a high lift color just for dark hair (very important)

A very vivid blue is beautiful on black hair, my sister in-law had hers done and it looked luxurious and glossy.

Hiya, im olive skinned and asian 2, ive got dark brown hair %26amp; i dont think blonde is a gd idea at all lol. Maybe experiment with a bit of dark blue. Good luck!
