what brand and what color? i usually use clairol torrids outrageous cherry. but it's too dark. it also fades to an ugly brown color. it's the brownish red color now. i won't bleach it, and i won't use the special effects brand.

manic panic makes some good stuff, and it wont fade to brown, its more pink when it fades. you can get it online or in punk/goth kinda stores. It doesnt last that long though. I also really like L'Oreal Color Pulse in Red Pulse or Funky Cherry. It lasts forever and its really easy to do!

I would find a salon that works with Framesi. Very powerful and lasting reds. If you notice that a lot of European woman have outrageously red hair- it is commonly Framesi. Also after 2 weeks start alternating in a true red shampoo like Artec that has a lot of pigment in it. All reds will fade, especially in the summer. Do not shampoo after color is removed for 24-48 hours.
