Will John Frieda's Brilliant Brunette tone down the red in my hair?

Its for brown highlights and brown hair not red highlights. so it will make the brown more noticeable. you use radiant red instead for your highlights

The shampoo is a color depositing shampoo, which means it adds a hint of color to your hair. So, if you are a redhead and you use the brown shampoo, you will get a brownish tint to your hair. It may look nice though, you never know...

it wont dye your hair solid brown,

but it will bring out the brown tones in your hair.

if your red has some brownish in it,

it might just bring out the bea-uttifull highlights.

i also reccomend the new pantene color expressions

i use the highlight shampoo, and the solid condintioner

( im blonde though )%26amp; i looooooooove it

it makes my hair so soft,

and lightens it more blonde.

i think the red or brown

would would great on your hair!

Even though you don't want this red stuff in your hair, it's there. The only real safe way to get this red colour out of your hair is to get it trimmed monthly and just condition it a lot so that you will have healthy hair.

Don't dye it, don't go to the salon to get chemicals put in it, don't do anything that isn't natural to your hair. Just trim it monthly, wash it when you're supposed to, and condition it everyday...that's all that you really can do.

Brilliant Brunette may or may not work, but trimming your hair will work because it will speed up hair growth. So buying a shampoo product isn't the greatest deal, but trimming it is.

That's all that I can really say. When your hair is a colour you don't want, you're just going to have to deal with it and just trim it out.

Best of luck to you.

why not just get the red version of john frieda's haircare? i think if you want to brighten up or prevent discoloration, you should get radiant red instead of brilliant brunette, because brilliant brunette brings out the brown in your hair, not the red. but if that is what you want, to tone down the red, than i think it should work.
